Len Fleming was the owner, and Bill Humphries was driving the car.14th of March, 1964: 1st in the 25 lap Australian Derby at Tracey's Speedway.March 1964: won the 50 lap Golden Fleece Grand Prix at Tracey's Speedway.6th April 1968: won the 30 lap Victorian GP at Redline, this time with Des Nash driving.1969/70: Won the Club Point Score and the Redline Track Championship, and qualified for the National Championship at the Sydney Showgroinds with Des Nash Driving.1969/70 season: Won the Victorian Title at Redline Speedway, with Des Nash driving.

Tognotti 350 Chev Sprintcar
Rod Duncan purchased the no. ACT11 car from Greame Pitcher in 2015 and is having a lot of fun demonstrating the car at various Victorian speedway tracks. We are still trying to track down the race history of the car but it was raced by John Christie at some stage.Please see below for some photos of the car in its racing days, with the distinctive "Black Jack" signage.Rod Duncan first raced a Hotrod in the 1971/72 season, and won the Best First Year Driver for SDAV Hotrods. Rod enjoyed much success in the no. 9 Hotrod for around 10 years, racing the car at Brooklyn, Avalon, Warnnambool, Bendigo, Calcium Park and Redline Speedway.Rod also Co-owned and raced a Grand National for a few years.

Speedways very own Gentleman Jim! James "Jim Duggan" commenced his Speedway Career in the Geelong, Vic. area in 1960.
VINTAGE SUPER MODIFIED: Jim began demonstrating his Vintage Super Modified Sprint Car in 2010. The car was previously raced by Tim Moncref of Tasmania, Barry Guy of Canberra and other. The car was restored by Doog in 2000, and purchased by Jim in 2010. The car runs a 350 Chev,
1972 Super Modified Ford 302 V8
This Super Modified is currently owned by Kevin McCallum. it was originally built in 1972 by Dick Britten, and raced by John Christy also in 1972. Its original colours were black & blue. The car was raced at Liverpool, Canberra, The Ekka, and the Sydney Showgrounds.Kevin Purchased the car in 2001 and has restored it to its 1972 Livery. Kevin has Demonstrated the car as a Classic at Murray Bridge, Avalon, Warrnambool, Mt Gambier, Wangaratta and Redline Speedways. Specifications:The No. 10 car has a 92 inch wheelbase, front leaf spring suspension, and reatrtorsion bar. The rear axle is a Morris J Van.The Engine is a Ford Cleveland 302 V8, with a Holly Carby.Twin plate clutch and rear brake discs.

Holden 253 V8 Engine
Fred Plater owns and drives the Yellow Super Modified No. N10 car.The car is equipt with a Holden V8 253, with a 600cfm Holley Carburettor., running on petrol.The car has an Edmonds style body with Coil over rear suspension and transverse front leaf springs. The car was originally built by Mark Banks.Unusual feature: runs a Holden V8 motor that drives a shortened Ford Borg Warnet 3 speed gear box.Believed to have run around Nyora, and the south east of Victoria. Drivers have included Vintage Club Members Mark Robinson and Peter Halloran.Fred always has the car turned out immaculately, and is a regular on the Vintage trail, Come out and see this great car!Fred son Paul sometimes drives the car, and they can both be seen in action in the photos above.Fred is also Treasurer of the Club, and gives generously of his time, his efforts, and those of his Wife, Anthea, are very much appreciated.

Paul Plater owns and drives the No. V40 Sprintcar.Unusual feature: The car has previously run a Chrysler slant 6 in NSW, a variety of Rambler Engines with John Doidge, a small block Chev with John Doidge and John Little, and an Oldsmobile with Steve Bowman. History: 1972-73 Owner/driver unknown. 1974-80 Vic40 John Doidge, 1981 onwards VSC Limited Sprintcar with Steve Boman and then John Little. The car has been raced at Brooklyn Speedway, Premier Speedway, Swan Hill Speedway and Bendigo Speedway.. Paul is the President of the VCVSC, and his Wife, Angela is the Secretary, both put an amazing amount of time and effort into the club, building it into a fantastic place for enthusiasts to share their passions, and enjoy the magic of the old time vehicles.
