Fred Plater owns and drives the Yellow Super Modified No. N10 car. The car is equipped with a Holden V8 253, with a 600cfm Holley petrol carburetor. The car has an Edmonds style body with Coil over rear suspension and transverse front leaf springs. The car was originally built by Mark Banks. Unusual feature: runs a Holden V8 motor that drives a shortened Ford Borg Warner 3 speed gear box. It is believed that car originated and ran around Nyora, and southeast of Victoria. Drivers have included Vintage Club Members Mark Robinson and Peter Halloran. Fred always has the car turned out immaculately and is a regular on the Vintage trail. Fred son Paul sometimes drives the car, and they can both be seen in action in the photos above. Fred was a long time Treasurer and has generously spent many hours working for the club. His efforts, and those of his wife, Anthea, are very much appreciated.
